Rattler Collector Insight
Collecting games on occassion require that you buy “lots”/”Bundles”. This giving you this Rattler Collector Insight.
If you buy title by title you would never understand that there exist different versions of a game cover between releases. Some are very minor as you may have read in previous posts and some are of major art.
Previously we have written about different alterations on the logo when coming to Atlantis titles. You could have the same title and cover picture but a different template with a new logo.
This Rattler Collector Insight will be divided in two findings. One
Colours
The first finding we have done, and it has been verified on more than one set of copies. It has to do with the colouring of the cover. We have found two versions with a different colouring in purple. One darker purple and one lighter purple more to the pink.
We have done a research and we have come to the conclusion that the different colours are not an effect of sun bleaching. If the deviance of colour is due to changing printing company or if it is different colour being used between the batches. What colour does your Rattler cover have?

Logo text
Here we a have a real difference based on a decision to change the font used for the cover. If the font change was done due to copyright issues or for re-design issues is unclear. Unfortunately I do not have the actual date on the change – I know that the above covers are versions from 1984 and I need to find the tape for the below version.

Summarising Rattler Collector Insight
Check multiple copies of the same game, be alert on typical colour changes – maybe for hardcore collectors. And secondly be aware of bigger changes like templates, fonts or pictures and logos.
This post informs you about the difference on fonts and colours. Happy collecting.
