Putting up my instagram account has given me the opportunity to touch base with other fantasts of retro gaming and computing. Seeing the pictures from modern gaming has set my to analyze the fact that the mobile gaming is not the first out when seeing to have a device with multi-functionality – we had the Game & Watch, the device that would be our clock as well as our gaming device – we remember the big ones from Nintendo but there were many other out there.
The clock was the first device to be out there but was soon to be followed by a series of devices being both a calculator, watch and gaming device. The ones I came in contact with were Space Shuttle and Thief in the Garden from tronic. Space Shuttle could really get you annoyed on the buzzing sound when loosing your lifes.
But what would be the next step? I do not know if you knew about the brand called Liwaco, but they came out with devices containing a Radio – a radio, a clock and a gaming device in one.
So you could say they hade the first streaming media devices that were also operational for gaming.
